Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos Recipe
Jalapeno pepper halves are stuffed with cheese and sausage. You will love this spicy appetizer treat!
Jalapeno pepper slices are stuffed with a sausage and cream cheese mixture, then wrapped with bacon. They're a spicy, mouthwatering party favorite! Secure the bacon with toothpicks.
Very good and a unique flavor as opposed to the everyday jalapeno poppers. I used Jimmy Dean's sage sausage and mixed in about 1/4 cup of sharp cheddar. These didn't last long at the party.
I love this recipe! I did change a few things after trying it several times. I sprinkled a little sugar in each jalapeno before stuffing it, I increased the proportion of cream cheese a little, and added about a 1/4 cup of sour cream. Awesome!
These were great! Had some fresh jalapeno's and leftover cream cheese and used kraft fiesta mix cheese (combo of cheddar, mozzarella and other cheeses) and it still turned out mmmm tasty, just the right amount of spicyness, dipped in ranch made my entire family happy! Thanks for the recipe!
Served these as an appetizer and got so many compliments. I split the cream cheese/sausage mixture in half, and to one half I followed the recipe exactly, to the other half I added sharp cheddar cheese instead and then coated them with crunched up rice krispies (for a crunchy texture) and they were excellent. Both were amazing! The ranch dip is awesome with it! Definitely a keeper!
Easy & delicious - the fresh jalapeño peppers were very mild, so use a spicier sausage if you want extra heat.
I made the recipe exactly as stated and it is awesome! It's just the perfect amount of kick. I was afraid it might be too spicy since I've never cooked a jalapeno before. If not for the fat content, I probably would've eaten the whole batch all by myself!
